The University of Canterbury is only minutes from 306 Motel Apartments, which makes it an ideal stay when visiting students.
It is New Zealand's second oldest university, and covers 76 hectares in the garden setting of Ilam. With expansive green spaces and gardens, UC builds off the natural beauty by which it is surrounded. This includes Christchurch's iconic Avon river which meanders alongside University Drive through the campus.
The campus is easy to stroll, cycle or skate around and is linked together by shared walkways. For those cycling and running to UC there are secure bike stands, lockers and showers available on campus.
With a Lone Star restaurant, BNZ Bank and the first Burgerfuel and Carl’s Jr in the South Island, along with over 45 specialty retailers, some of which you simply will not find elsewhere, the Bush Inn Centre is a relaxed, convenient and unique place to shop. At the Centre you will find a warm friendly atmosphere and a great community spirit, without the hustle and bustle of other larger Centres.

Hagley Park has been at the heart of Christchurch since the 1850s when it was set aside for recreation and enjoyment of Christchurch residents.
Today, it is the most significant central city park, offering a diverse range of entertainment and recreational facilities close to the city centre.
Hagley Park is renowned for its extensive area of 165 hectares (407 acres), its wide-open spaces and mature woodlands. It comprises North and South Hagley Park which are separated by Riccarton Avenue and bordered by Deans, Hagley, Rolleston and Harper Avenues.
A visit to Hagley Park gives an appreciation for the very beginnings of Christchurch city as we know it today.
Whether you're looking to link up with the various city cycle networks or take a family ride on the easy terrain, Hagley Park has you covered.
With the perimeter pathway of North Hagley Park measuring 4.5 km, and South Hagley, 3.7 km, there is plenty of space along the tree lined avenues for walking and cycling.
306 Motel and Apartments is located just 10mins drive via Riccarton Road to Christchurch Hospital making us an ideal option when needing hospital accommodation whether you have travelled for an appointment or a family member or friend is in hospital and you want to stay close by.
We are also on a main bus route with a bus stop not far from us, jump on the Yellow bus that will take you direct to the Hospital.
Parking can be a bit of a nightmare at the Hospital so until this is sorted, we are offering the option of using our Motel carpark during the day (even those not staying with us) for a small donation that will in turn be given to a hospital charity. The return bus fare will probably equate to less than one hour parking at the Deans Bush site.
When you are needing Christchurch Hospital Accommodation, get in touch with us at 306 Motel and Apartments and we will ensure you have a comfortable, modern room to rest during (sometimes) uneasy times, we are here to help in any way we can.
